Ever wake up in a really good mood and have work ass-clowns try and destroy you from within?
I just got out of a meeting where the tone should have been fantastic, but instead turned into a complaint. As it stands for the rest of my day, headphones are going on and only business related emails and IMs are getting answered on the work computer.
The situation breaks down like this-meeting with my team quickly called to introduce a monthly bonus for the top 3 performers. Great news, right? Heck, we're even told what the criteria and dollar amount will be. Instead of excitement and creating a positive buzz-do you know what question gets asked? "Will we be taxed on the bonus? It's like 42%." Really? I mean this with the utmost in sincerity....REALLY??? Someone is offering you money you may or may not have a shot at (my group consists of 11 people, 1 in 11 equals a 9% chance of getting to the bonus.
I bring in my own laptop and type this up because we have free wi-fi in the building that has no tracking. Therefore I cannot get into trouble for typing this.
Damn I hate Energy Vampires.....to the headphones!!!!!
