Week 6 Fantasy picks

Last week I didn't do horrible. But it most definitely could have been better. This week I put forth that effort. On to the games (if you want me to review last weeks picks I will, but I haven't read an outpouring for that...hell, I haven't heard a peep):

Atlanta @ Philadelphia: Tony Gonzalez, (TE) Atlanta-As I've said before, Philly cannot cover the TE with MLB Stewart Bradley. Or it must've been my imagination that I saw Vernon Davis last week being hit for two huge seam routes. Tony may be getting long in tooth (for an NFL player, not a human being), and he works the wily veteran moves this Sunday.

Cleveland @ Pittsburgh: Heath Miller, (TE) Pittsburgh-Big Ben's first game back from suspension, he will look early for his security blanket, and that would be his TE, Heath Miller.

Seattle @ Chicago: Golden Tate, (WR) Seattle-With WR Deion Branch being traded back to New England, a slot has opened up to be 'the guy' in the lovely Northwest. The Seahags didn't draft Tate to sit on the bench or only return punts. The kid can already run NFL routes, and proves it in the Windy City.

Detroit @ NY Giants: Brandon Jacobs, (RB) NY Giants-While Ahmad Bradshaw may be the starter, Jacobs is going to be the closer and the short yardage TD guy. At least he will be this week. He's been 'running mad' of late, and I'm thinking he gets 40 yards and 2 TDs.

Baltimore @ New England: Deion Branch, (WR) New England-Welcome home Deion! While some may say the Pats should never have traded you, look what they got! (That would be a 1st round pick for him, and got him back for a 4th round pick). Now your back, you already know the offense, have a good rapport with the QB, I'm thinking you're going to have a nice game.

San Diego @ St. Louis: Ryan Mathews, (RB) San Diego-Mathews is healthy after his week 2 high ankle sprain and will be taking the majority of the carries. St Louis isn't so great against the run, and Mathews will be force fed the ball by coach Norv Turner.

Miami @ Green Bay: Greg Jennings, (WR) Green Bay-Eventually this will become true, right?

New Orleans @ Tampa Bay: Kellen Winslow, (TE) Tampa Bay-I see no reason why K2 shouldn't have a good game. New Orleans hasn't exactly ratcheted up the pass rush, and they have given up decent games to TE so far this season. That and I just traded for him, so there.

Kansas City @ Houston: Tony Moeaki, (TE) Kansas City-No way KC QB Matt Cassel looks for WR Dwayne Bowe after he potentially cost the Chiefs the game @ Indy last week with a mad case of the dropsies. Moeaki leads the team in targets and Houston cannot cover the pass.

NY Jets @ Denver: Santonio Holmes, (WR) Jets-Holmes had 9 targets in a reserve role on Monday night. He gets more playing time on Sunday, and Denver's secondary is all banged up.

Oakland @ San Francisco: Michael Bush, (RB) Oakland-yup, I'm riding this horse again. I don't care if you want to admit it or not, the Raiders do one thing exceptionally well, and that's run the ball.

Dallas @ Minnesota: Randy Moss, (WR) Minnesota-fun facts for you to know...in 7 career games against the Cowboys, Moss has 11 TDs. Nope, he doesn't hold a grudge for him not getting drafted by the Cowboys back in 1998, not at all.

Indianapolis @ Washington: Ryan Torain, (RB) Washington-Uh, Indy is tiny up front on the D-Line, Shanahan will want to prove that he knows running backs and that this guy can carry the rock for a whole game.

Tennessee @ Jacksonville: Mike Sims-Walker, (WR) Jacksonville-The Titans are great against the run, and the only way Jacksonville will be able to hang around on Monday night is by throwing the ball. Tennessee doesn't cover #1 WRs all too well. Hence, it's time for Sims-Walker to produce the way he was drafted instead of putting up a donut like he has in 2 games already.

I will be posting more things over the weekend. For now, enjoy your Friday night!
