Randomness

HDN (HotDog Neck, for those new to this blog) came downstairs yesterday with fancy brand new dark as hell Wranglers and a navy blue shirt. Yup, I ran with it. "hey, Violet Beauregarde, how's Mike TV doing?", "Am I blue?", and lastly, "you're my boy, Blue"...sometimes, it's that easy. Like a gift from the heavens.

I haven't written much in the last couple of weeks for two huge reasons-1)online tutorials, they are done for me. Well, at least I learned what I wanted to learn. I'm now certified in Access 2003 & 2007, MS Project 2003, and SharePoint 2007. I'm happy to be done and see if this gets me some more/different hits on the ol' resume. 2)I haven't had much to say, because my mind has been occupied. Occupied by learning new things (for me) and just plugging away at other things.

So this notion that I'm friends to many people has me giggling. I have to tell some folks, we ain't friends. Sorry, now get over it. We may very well be acquaintances, but friends? Hardly. That being said, I've got some shout-outs to some of my peoples...read below to see if you're on here (and if you're not, don't sweat it, I'll hit you up later):

Yuppy Buddy-thanks for having my back, even if it's from the WAY Back. Glad I've got you around, mostly to mock, but we've been friends forever, and I appreciate the friendship.
Kenny P-I owe you an apology. Years ago you came out to visit, and I wasn't that great of a host. You don't need to know why (if you do, ask), but there was a point while you were here that you were worried if you'd be a good father. I said something along the lines of 'you? You'll be fine.' I should have told you then, but I'll tell you now, you're an awesome dad. How do I know? Easy-you laugh at what you're supposed to take lightly and are serious when it's time. That and every picture I see of your daughter she's happy. As long as you still whip up pancakes and provide popsicles, you'll be great. I haven't forgotten about my boy in Toronto, and do hope you and the family are doing great-you deserve it.
G$-I can't believe sometimes you and I are friends-we hate each others squads, but we have the bond of friendship thru everything that is stupid on the planet. You are 10x funnier than me, and if I ever get off my ass to do comedy again, I'll be bouncing ideas off of you, especially the awful dating scene (dead serious to the rest reading this-we're both in our mid 30's, pickings are, in a word, 'Wow', take that whatever way you want).
Shane-BBQ in 2 hours!! I'm glad I have met you and all your calmness. Truth be told, you won't need me to intimidate any of the guys who come to the door to date your daughter. You'll be amazed at the strength you truly possess.
Siggy-I hope like hell Seattle is working out for you. I think having the whole fam-damily with you will make it all worth it. I miss having you down the street. At least we have the phone!
CD-I wish we saw each other more, but what can I say-I'm single, you're a family man. I'm glad I got to help you celebrate the Big 4-0 super early. You need anything, holler.
Gina-Thanks for thinking of me on the job front. I hope DC is treating you alright, and really do hope that no talent assclown leaves you alone. You're better off alone than with that guy. He sucks, yup, I said it.
DD-I would have never have thought you and I would reconnect. Glad I've got you to bounce ideas off of, and commiserate in the stupidity.
KV-you get your own madness.
Rob-how much goofy fun can certain people have? Sky's the limit, always has been, always will be. Damn we get into some mischief.
Dan-O-your kindness overwhelms me. You have opened up your home to me, and I think it's awesome I have a buddy to bounce 80's rap music off of just down the street. If we ever open up our ethnic diner, your green chili goes on the menu all weekend. Me, I'm making the omelets and scrambles to have that deliciousness thrown on top of...mmmmm, good.
Jay-from fantasy baseball to football, to mocking the WTF-ness of the world we live in, to all the rides from Logan, I couldn't ask for a better friend. The fact that I get random pictures/videos of my Godson only makes it that much better.

I actually remembered a dream I had last night. I was at a bar, and my Pops showed up, in a suit. He said 'sorry' and we talked about stuff. Is that weird, or weird that I'm sharing?
Is that the reason it hurts to type today-because my neck/shoulders are all jacked up? If I turn my head quickly one way I may drop in agony...damn I'm a wuss when it comes to physical pain. Mental pain and heartache? I eat that like a bag of Reese's Pieces. Of course, that may manifest itself into physical pain, but I'm not a neurologist. So there's that.

There will be more later, I assure you.
