this seems odd....

So, thanks to someone who two years ago told me about Facebook, I have no connected with quite a few people from the past. And while it's been fascinating to catch up with some people, I've had my hesitations about reminiscing and romanticizing the past with others. I've heard others discussing their 'WTF?' moments, and giggled at the horror of others being annoyed by a past flame/old friend who is still stuck in the past, mostly because I had serious doubts it would ever happen to me.
Sure enough, karma is now giggling at me. And it's loud, too. While I had (yup, it's already past tense) a nice time catching up over the phone, I think it's gone overboard. Why over the phone? Well, they were a horrid typer eons ago, and that hasn't changed. And some things you just don't want to type about in an IM session, it's a little, I don't know, cold? Phone numbers get exchanged and between this past Thursday and Saturday, was called 6 times (I know!!!). This is a married woman and she has a daughter, just for the record. On the 5th time she called me, this past Saturday morning, she said her husband would like to pay for my flight to come and visit. I won't state where she is, but I will tell you she's not in Boston. After not speaking or having any kind of contact for 13 years, doesn't this seem a bit odd? Only reason I ask is because sure as hell screams out 'DANGER' to me.
I know me right now, and there are only like 4 people on the planet I could hang out with for a few days on end with, she ain't one of 'em. Ever caught up with someone and stare at your phone as they say some of the most outlandish crap, wondering how you were friends oh so many years ago in the process? Yup, had that happen already.

I think this is nuts. I can be wrong, but I'm curious what you think.
