Random doesn't even begin to describe it

Alrighty there faithful reader (face it, even I know there's only one of you out there right now).

So much has happened since the last time I wrote anything (12/4/08), that I wouldn't know where to begin. I'm definitely still not ready to discuss the passing of my Dad. I will some day, I'm sure, but now isn't the time, and I still wonder if the internet is the place.

I've made the decision to do my best to type up something everyday. My goofy life deserves something, and you will probably laugh or go, 'WTF?' after reading what I have to say. I plan on writing on 3 major topics-Sports, politics and the ladies. Not necessarily in that order.

Part of the reason I'm able to do this again is that I'm once again unemployed. So stupid, but I truly don't feel bitter. I'm upset at the business decision, because I completely disagree with it. It still doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me now, and it's been over a week. The other reason I'm doing this is that I was finally starting to make some headway with how my career was going, and had the idea that since it was going so well, I could take on the task of regularly writing about how things were going in the exciting world of software sales.

So before I get to some random items, let me state that when it comes to sports, I will be leaning heavily on my beloved Sox, Celtics, Patriots, Syracuse mens hoops, the Bruins and then going with the national stories. Granted, I live in Denver, but I loathe the Broncos, still think the Nuggets are the Thuggets, and will until Kenyon Martin is gone, and still know that the Avs would have been awesome if there were no salary cap, and the Rockies are a joke-which is fine, means cheap tickets if I decide to stay here.
When it comes to the ladies, I will inform you that in order to placate my Ma and my own curiousity, I joined up with an internet dating site....let the hilarity ensue. I can guarantee that it will, and that I will be letting you, my faithful companion on this joyride of nuttiness that I will give a lot of details on how things go. Call it a progress report, I call it the torture file.
As for politics, please know that I don't lean to the 'right', I am my own man and don't conform to a party, or what used to be a party. I'm a firm believer in doing it on your own, not relying on hand outs. Your friends will help you, but you must help yourself. I firmly believe that effort needs to be rewarded for those that are truly trying, not complaining that good things don't happen to them. What have you done to put yourself in position to succeed? If you can answer that question solidly, then it's all good in my book. No effort, no reward.

Now, onto the random:

This is an old article by a guy who used to be on the 'Sports Reporters' on ESPN, and he always made me think that I'd like to watch a ballgame with him, it's regarding how well Bud Selig screwed up yet another moment for baseball......I can't wait until he goes away.

After traveling to Seattle many months ago, and listening to some locals, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if there is a Starbucks induced riot. I thought this gentleman's idea was borderline sarcastic/brilliant.

Someone needs to give this kid an atomic wedgie. Why? Because there is no answer to the question that is woman. If anyone tells you that they have the answer, they're lying. I'll back it up with an example: Last night I was a birthday party, and ran into someone I haven't seen in a long time. She's now dating someone, and thinks things are going great. "Where is Mr. Wonderful?" 'He's in Vegas at a bachelor party-but he says he doesn't like strip clubs.' Really? I mean, Really????? Every guy likes strip clubs, porn, bacon, peanut butter, beer and football. I they don't, then they aren't guys. And if they tell you they don't like any of the above-ladies, they are lying to you. Don't believe me at your own peril.

A little bit of politics-Brent Bozell from the Media Research Center has a good one for all those who scream that 'W. Sucks!' to gnaw on. I'd do it but I'm trying to get out of the way of the stampede that is the Mainstream Media running to be the first to blow Obama at the podium on Tuesday for his coronation...I meant inauguration.

On more thing...to the people of California and Proposition 8. Those wanting marriage defined as anything other than between man and woman put it up to a vote and lost. Much like the Obamaniacs, here's my retort to those that are now fighting it, beating up old ladies in front of churches and protesting outside of Sundance...'DEAL With it.' See, I didn't think you'd like it. Funny, when you lose, you want to change the rules, but I'm supposed to abide by them. Curious, wouldn't you say?

Anyone remember Kevin Pittsnogle? Well, here's an update-God do I love stories from West Virginia-they write themselves, and no one is surprised.

This, and there is only one word to describe this incident, is disgusting. I'd be willing to bet that these are the types of white kids that everyone knows is privileged and would only be tough in the '5-of-us and one-of-you' scenarios. I've got a good mind to go to this school and take a dump at halfcourt. If these kids aren't booted then I'm definitely writing a strongly worded letter to the administration for an answer as to why, and why these kids should even be allowed near a book. Clearly in the other 9 years of formal education it didn't work. I have an even better thought for the next school that has black players that has a road game @ Servite; bring the Wu-Tang Clan. Bet you won't hear a peep. Morons and hypocrites are just a couple of words that come to mind.

I love Big East basketball...this just makes me giggle. I love the reaction of the announcers.

So, this is where everything stands right now. Time to put together my grocery list for tomorrow morning...I live in MILF/Cougar central. Desperate Housewives would be putting it politely. Now if only I were pig enough to act on it.....

Damn, it's getting hard to read your blogs now. It takes me 15 minutes because I have to stop and read other articles all the time.

But anyway...The Prop 8 was not put up by the people wanting same sex marriage...IE..the ones who lost. It was written and advertised by the people who introduced Prop 8...the ones who don't want same sex marriages. So they did not put up the prop for a vote and lost and are now bitching about it. They are bitching about it because of the wording in the prop and how it was confusing for people.

Now for a record...lets get over all OUR issues and STOP treating people NOT like us as if they are third class citizens. Let everyone have the same rights unless they have a reason to refuse those rights...as in CRIMINAL RECORDS.
