Fine, I missed a day...what did you do yesterday?

So yesterday was spent cleaning up stuff. And today was more of the same. All that being said, here is some news, personal and otherwise:

On the personal side, the woman I truly give a rats patoo about texted me today and wants to know when I'm coming to visit. Yup, that thing you just heard was my heart pounding thru my chest. We now shall see if I get to go on a plane and make an ass of myself. Chances are high, I repeat, Chances are high-That I'm going to do something completely stupid.

Okay, enough of these shenanighans. Onto the news:

While this may be a little bit sad (okay, it's a lot sad), why oh why do these, ahem, "Parents" get spared the death penalty? I'm pretty sure these are exactly the types of useless clowns the death penalty was intended for. What say you? Very rarely, thanks to TV, movies and music am I shocked anymore, but this story made me gasp out loud. Fine, send them to prison, forever. But, if I may, I'd like to recommend that as part of the guy's sentence that he gets his head kicked in once a month from now until his passing. Because this guy sucks, in plain english.

I'm not even sure why this is news. Mayor has a gay relationship, because he's gay. And? With an 18 yr old at the time...so. The person that some are wondering if he got taken advantage of has flat out stated that he never felt like he was taken advantage of. Now, can we move on? I don't care what people do in their personal lives, unless it's harming another human being or animal without consent. You want to have relations, and you're gay? Good for you, you found someone you're attracted to. Has minimal effect on how you will govern the day to day operations of your job. My thought is that since I don't wake up everyday with a hetero agenda, gay people don't either. I could be way off, but I'd hate to define myself 1st and foremost based on my sexuality. Seems like I'd be fighting a battle everyday.

You can make your own jokes about this one...like there were W&W's all over the road. Here's a thought to the truck driver...slow the hell down around the on ramp, dumbass!

Miss Virginia just moved up a few notches on the hot scale....just sayin'.

Did anyone else see Chase Budinger get stepped on? Outrageous! And the guy who did the stepping, issued this lame apology. Houston coach Tom Penders, you're a douche. Sit this kid down for at least a game. It wasn't like he stumbled on his head. He took like 2 steps!! It's stuff like this that I rarely forget. It's the same reason that while Chris Paul may be a fantastic player in the NBA, I will never like him. Why? Because he punched Julius Hodge in the nuts in an ACC contest. Now Aubrey Coleman says he's sorry. Bullshit. Watch the replay, he even gets hi-fives from teammates. If I had a kid considering between the University of Houston and somewhere else, Lil' Johnny will be going somewhere else.

Apparently we've come to the cheap shot portion of our program, because I have 2 more for you;
Remember the girls team that lost 100-0? Well, the winning coach just got canned. And why? Because he's a moron who doesn't know when to admit he made a mistake. If he had come out and apologized and stated that he got caught up in the moment, then all would eventually be forgiven. But instead, this guy is sticking to his guns and thinking that it's okay to shoot 3's up 88-0. Class act, pal. I know we all make mistakes, but it's one thing to mess up and admit it, but now you look like an ass because you're just sitting there being defiant now.

And now someone in college hockey has been Bertuzzi'd, after a clean hit no less. Michigan St. should not only apologize, but kick these kids off the team. There's no fighting in college hockey, so these kids will never have to pay for the blatant doucheyness of their actions. Oh, and see if you can catch it on the clip of the 2nd kid slashing what I'm convinced is someone unconscious. You stay classy, Spartans.

And lastly tonight, a speedy and healthy recovery to Michael Redd, who shredded his ACL and MCL last night. Been there, buddy, my heart goes out to you. I just remember you and Scoonie Penn making it to the Final Four so many years ago. Face it, I just wanted you all to remember Scoonie!
