News...and it's Tourney Time

Haha to all you suckers at work today hitting "Alt-Tab" to get to your phony spreadsheets while trying to keep track of your NCAA brackets. I'm here to help, but you've got to get thru some news stuff first...it's only fair to keep the 4 people that read this thing informed!

In case you've been under a rock lately, Obama is getting skewered for his affiliation to Pastor Jeremiah Wright, and came out on Monday with a speech regarding race. In my opinion, everything Obama has got coming to him is damn worth it. And the atypical liberal reaction is to be mocked, just as Neal Boortz has done here.
Obama is in big trouble. Since last Friday when this news came about and someone helped but this Pastor Wright's sermons on YouTube, he's been losing points. And big points, to Shillary. The fact that she has had to do nothing to gain these points is amazing. She's allowing Obama to hang himself. The crass thing to me about Obama's speech is that he stated he could not disown his preacher so much as he could disown his white grandmother. Uh, not for nothing, but no one asked you to disown your white grandmother. But they can and will question you from now until (potentially) November about your affiliation with a racist, bigoted, nutjob. And that's what Pastor Wright is, make no mistake.
Have any of you heard some of this man's rantings and ravings? He stated that the US govt. put out the AIDS virus to kill blacks. Sorry, but Ryan White and Rock Hudson were white, and they both died of AIDS. The US govt can't figure anything out, so why the conspiracy to kill only Blacks? Blacks are killing each other every day, without any assistance from men of other color(s). It's this type of stereotypical discussion, and using the guise of "In the Bible" that's more divisive than anything. We will not get a straight discussion about race, or racism, in this country until we can all, black, white, purple, brown and yellow, tell those that are race-baiters, to sit down and shut up. Not because they aren't important to the discussion, but because we as a people cannot let them lead the discussion. Personally, I'm cool with locking Jesse Jackson and his son, Al Sharpton, Louis Farahkan, David Duke, Robert Byrd along with the heads of La Raza and CAIR into a room and losing the key. I bet you we'd get a lot more accomplished.
As for Obama, I think he's about to see how smart and dumb this country really is. Those that take the time to read, research and listen will understand that Obama has been following this man for 20 years, and since he called Wright his mentor, those people will see "danger" lit up over Obama's head. Those that chose to just listen to mainstream media will take awhile to come around, but you don't have to be a genius to figure out that when someone's mentor state "God Damn America" that it could be something that sticks in someone's head and makes them think, "gee, maybe the old guy or that dumb broad might not be a bad choice." And if you think I'm kidding, go to a coffee house and a Wal Mart to see what I'm talking about.

Speaking of coffee, remember to go anywhere but Starbucks. If you really need to know why, here's a pretty good breakdown. They just can't get any more of my money.

A few more news things and on to the sports---

I hope those of you living in the Massachusetts area love this---how the hell do you run a state government agency in the red??? Nevermind, probably the same kid that won a spelling bee with the winner "Katt" (just kidding...I know the second 'T' is silent) is now running this show.

Back on my campaign for Presidency in '12, it appears as though my Accountability Party will have a lot to talk about. Apparently Eliot Spitzer's chief ho has been in 'Girls Gone Wild'. I think Larry Flynt still has an offer out to her to spread 'em for $1 Million. Not too shabby. I love that now a lawyer is stating that when these pictures were taken she was 17. And? Did she give them a fake ID? Did she say she was 18? GGW founder Joe Francis gets girls to sign a waiver, flash some tits (maybe more), and then gives them a cheap t-shirt or booty shorts. Quite frankly, the man's a genius. Just a quick tangent here....who pays for internet porn??? As for the accountability angle, I'm just getting a wee bit tired of everyone playing the victim. I don't care if you were young, you clearly knew what was going on, you showed us your goods (and we thank you for it) and then you decided to turn some tricks for a high-end escort service. No one made you do this, so you and your lawyer need to zip it. You'll be getting paid on the back end, either by Hustler, Penthouse, a movie deal and/or a book deal.

Maybe not quite on the Accountability tip, but this news makes me very, very proud to be an American. Why shouldn't this guy be able to run his business in whichever way he sees fit?! Here's a guy who pays all sorts of taxes, is a viable member of the community and some clown wants him to speak something other than English--not anymore. Chalk up a win for the lil' guy.

On to some sports...while this is not cool, the reaction by the team is. Hey, Al Davis is throwing around money like he's a sailor on leave, maybe he'll sign you?

So here in Denver we have the 'Thuggets', I mean Nuggets, for our NBA franchise. Well, the other night they put up 168 on Seattle, a team that's just not that good. Here's a reaction from Charles Barkley. I couldn't agree more with the Chuckster. If the Nuggets were just running their offense and kept scoring, then fine, but when you're up by 30 and chucking 3's, you deserve anything you get. And here's the best part, the Thuggets are getting just that. They lost in Philly last night, and they cannot stop anyone on D. Guards and forwards are driving thru the lane with the greatest of ease, and Thuggets are happy to let them go by like a matador. I'm not sure, but I swear I hear "Oh Lay" on every dribble-drive by an opponent.
Here's how I know I agree with Sir Charles on this scoring thing. A few years ago I was playing in a men's league, and we made it into the playoffs. We weren't that good, and for this playoff game we were severely undermanned. That's what happens when you put together a team of go-getting late 20-somethings. Well, our game was vs Pepsi's bottling plant. These are some very strong union type guys. Let's call them 'athletic'. They ran us off the court. Fair enough. But with about 3 minutes to go they thought it would be good to try and embarass my team. Bad idea. I don't mind getting my ass kicked, I can live with defeat. I will not be humiliated. So the show-boating starts, with the "And 1 Mix Tape" type dribbling, the shooting from one foot inside halfcourt, I knew what was coming. It was going to be a showtime dunk. Not on my watch. So there was a breakaway and I beat feet down the court and fouled the guy. Not hard, I got some ball. But I knew he was going to try some crazy-ass dunk. Again, not on my watch, not when you're up by 20. Just hold the ball, there's no shot clock. The guy wanted to fight me. His whole team wanted to fight me. And I kinda did what Rajon Rondo and Rafer Alston did the other night...I stood my ground. Then the jawing started and I told him you already won, but to try and do it with some class. After his free throws he kept jabbering and decided he would go at me defensively. Very tight on the man-to-man D, so I giggled, ran off a screen, waited until he caught up with me, stared straight at him and nailed a '3'. Grinned and the buzzer sounded.
Sorry, but someone on Seattle should've had the balls to cream JR Smith when he went to throw down a dunk. Like Kevin McHale back in the day.

Tourney Predictions!!!!
Alright, I've got Tennessee, Kansas, Stanford and UCLA in my Final 4. I've got UCLA winning 83-75 over Tennessee, but enough of that boring crap, the games tip off in 15 minutes, so here's some predictions for today's slate of games:

Georgia/Xavier-please...enough of this Cinderella crap, Xavier by 10.

Portland St./Kansas-PSU will stick around for 8 minutes, then it's balls-out for the Jayhawks.

Temple/Michigan St.-Michigan St. is a great tourney team. If Neitzel is hot, this one is over quick.

Kentucky/Marquette-I hate Marquette, but I think they have too much depth for Ashley Judd.

Baylor/Purdue-I think Baylor's guards could give Purdue some headaches, but I'm going with the Boilermakers.

Kent State/UNLV-Kent State is more tested, and I think they're better.

Oral Roberts/Pitt-I think Pitt is going to roll, by like 15.

Cornell/Stanford-Cornell will have no match for the Lopez Twins. Over, and early, the Cardinal roll to victory.

Kansas State/USC-set your friggin' Tivos!!! Beasley vs. Mayo. This should be fun to watch these two players who should both be top 5 in the upcoming NBA draft, but I think USC will win due to coaching. Every time I watch K-State their coach has this confused angry look on his face, like his car got stolen but they left his 'Best of Barry Manilow' CD in the parking spot.

Belmont/Duke-I know some are calling for this upset, but they both have smart white guys. Know what Duke has? Athletic, smart white guys.

Winthrop/Washington State-Upset alert! I'm taking Winthrop, they've been to the tourney 4 years in a row and play a great style of ball.

Texas A&M/BYU-I'm never impressed by schools from the WAC, so I'm taking A&M.

Cal-State Fullerton/Wisconsin-Wisco by 5. Cal-State scores a bunch, but I think this will come out to game management.

Arizona/West Virginia-I've got Arizona, too many athletes, and watch for freshman PG Jerrod Bayless for the 'Cats. He's a good one.

George Mason/Notre Dame-the Fightin' Irish, and it won't be close.

Mississippi Valley St./UCLA-Unless MVSU alum Jerry Rice is catching passes in an alumni touch football game, UCLA will just wear them down, and win by 18.

I'll bitch about the draw Denver got tomorrow morning, along with a review of these picks and preview of tomorrow. Enjoy work!

With the Obamas stuff...people quickly forget how his wife said something along the lines of I am finally proud of the country or I am finally proud to be an american. So what...she was never proud before to be an american before her husband running for president?

SEE...I knew something was wrong with him!
