Just terrible

So, my predictions did not work out so well yesterday....Let's review the awesomeness of awfulness:

Georgia/Xavier-please...enough of this Cinderella crap, Xavier by 10. Great game, I was correct on this one.

Portland St./Kansas-PSU will stick around for 8 minutes, then it's balls-out for the Jayhawks. It wasn't even close, KU just has better athletes.

Temple/Michigan St.-Michigan St. is a great tourney team. If Neitzel is hot, this one is over quick. Drew Neitzel wasn't hot, and MSU still won.

Kentucky/Marquette-I hate Marquette, but I think they have too much depth for Ashley Judd. Marquette pulled this one out, could've been the best game of the day.

Baylor/Purdue-I think Baylor's guards could give Purdue some headaches, but I'm going with the Boilermakers. Purdue put up 90!

Kent State/UNLV-Kent State is more tested, and I think they're better. I don't think Kent State knew they were actually keeping score in the 1st half...they had like 8 pts with 4 minutes to go in the 1st half!!! Wrong on this one.

Oral Roberts/Pitt-I think Pitt is going to roll, by like 15. Sorry, it was 19.

Cornell/Stanford-Cornell will have no match for the Lopez Twins. Over, and early, the Cardinal roll to victory. Yes, it was that easy.

Kansas State/USC-set your friggin' Tivos!!! Beasley vs. Mayo. This should be fun to watch these two players who should both be top 5 in the upcoming NBA draft, but I think USC will win due to coaching. Every time I watch K-State their coach has this confused angry look on his face, like his car got stolen but they left his 'Best of Barry Manilow' CD in the parking spot. Well, it would have been nice if Tim Floyd coached his damn team. Great win by K-State, enjoy watching Beasley...and Bill Walker.

Belmont/Duke-I know some are calling for this upset, but they both have smart white guys. Know what Duke has? Athletic, smart white guys. Duke won by 1, but they won, and that's what matters.

Winthrop/Washington State-Upset alert! I'm taking Winthrop, they've been to the tourney 4 years in a row and play a great style of ball. So, they were tied 29 at the half, and then Winthrop, I have no idea what happened, they scored 11 total in the second half and got beat by 31. My apologies to Wazzuu, damn what an ass-whoopin'!

Texas A&M/BYU-I'm never impressed by schools from the WAC, so I'm taking A&M. Correct.

Cal-State Fullerton/Wisconsin-Wisco by 5. Cal-State scores a bunch, but I think this will come out to game management. More like 15, but CSFU does run some weird offense.

Arizona/West Virginia-I've got Arizona, too many athletes, and watch for freshman PG Jerrod Bayless for the 'Cats. He's a good one. I'm not touching them in next years tourney, book it now.

George Mason/Notre Dame-the Fightin' Irish, and it won't be close. 18 pt margin, I'd say I was right on this one.

Mississippi Valley St./UCLA-Unless MVSU alum Jerry Rice is catching passes in an alumni touch football game, UCLA will just wear them down, and win by 18. 70-29, thanks for playing.

Okay, now for today's predictions (yes, 2 games have started by the time I'm typing this up, but it won't change anything for me):

American/Tennessee: I think Tennessee rolls after being ticked about their bracket/seeding.

Davidson/Gonzaga: the Zags will hold off Stephen Curry, but this could be a great game.

St. Mary's/Miami: St. Mary's has 4 guys from the Australian national team, they've beaten good teams, I like them by 8.

Western Kentucky/Drake: Love the Drake, but watch for Courtney Lee, he's scored 2K in points, watch for him in this years draft.

South Alabama/Butler: I hope the AD at Butler wrote a strongly worded letter to the Selection Committee for sending the higher seed to Birmingham, Alabama...nice to give a 10 seed a home game. I like Butler, a ton of seniors, and they're pretty good.

UMBC/Georgetown: I think Georgetown will win, but don't be shocked if this is close. UMBC has 3 transfers from major conferences, so they shouldn't be intimidated by Georgetown.

Austin Peay/Texas: The 'Horns, in a rout. I'm thinking by 20, at least.

San Diego/UConn: I look for UConn to try and control the paint and run the Toreros off the floor. It'll be close, UConn late with some free throws, by 7.

Mount St. Mary's/UNC: Mount, thanks for showing up, meet the overall #1 seed, the Tar Heels by 18.

St. Joe's/Oklahoma: I still can't figure out Oklahoma, and St. Joe's is really a tough group. Based on the Philly connection, I think St. Joe's pulls this out.

Siena/Vanderbilt: I like Vandy, but don't be surprised if this game is a track meet, Siena can score, and in bunches.

Oregon/Mississippi St.: I don't even think Oregon should be in the tourney. Look out for MSU's point guard, he's a baller.

Arkansas/Indiana: I think Arkansas runs IU off the floor, they haven't been the same since Kelvin Sampson was dismissed. That's too bad for these kids, right before the whole cell phone crap happened they were looking like a potential Final 4 team.

Boise State/Louisville: I think Louisville just outruns and hustles Boise St. out of the gym.

Villanova/Clemson: I like Clemson, and their style is hectic, it's a gut feeling.

Texas-Arlington/Memphis: Memphis will try and put up 100, and they just might.

Happy watching!
