so much drama...

As per the norm lately, sports are on the bottom:

From 65 to 25!!! Welcome to Denver, where if you don't like the weather, give it a day. Because yesterday it was really nice out here, topping out at 65. Well, worry no longer that I might have fun in the sun, because last night Old Man Winter bitch-slapped Colorado, and it's been windy and snowing since around midnight, I'm guessing. And I get to look at snow, too. Pretty sweet, considering it's supposed to be back around 50 tomorrow. Anyone else want to predict everyone getting sick?

Hillary is failing, and badly. Rumors are flying that her campaign is caving in from outside and internally. Her campaign manager either left, was told to leave or get fired, or just plain got canned. Any way you shake it, the fact that Shillary got smoked in the Potomac states on Tuesday does not bode well for her going forward. Currently she is leading Pennsylvania and Ohio, but is also behind in the delegate count. Honestly, if you are anything other than a Democrat, you are rooting for her. She'll be a whole lot easier to beat than Obama, at least that's what I'm thinking.

Chelsea is pimped out. Yet another non-story. A reporter for MSNBC states that he thinks Shillary is pimping out her daughter, Chelsea. Yeah, so? Wait to see what happens 20-40 years from now, when both Shillary and Bill are dead and gone. I predict a tell-all book by Chelsea that clears the air about her parents, their sham of a marriage, all the cheating her mom had to deal with, and why mom played the "stand by your man" card. Hillary went nuts and wanted the reporter fired, he only got a suspension, along with a lengthy apology to the Senator from NY.

Hillary states Fox News is fair-I just wanted to note that to all of you out there that are continually claiming that Fox News is strictly a Conservative and Republican network. Funny, I never hear these same people state that CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS are the networks of the Liberal and Democratic folk. Just be reminded, that most liberals idea of tolerance is you agreeing with them.

PA Gov. Ed Rendell is a bigot, and if he there was an R in front of his name he'd have been gone faster than you can say special ballot. He has stated that he thinks people won't vote for Obama if he were to be the Democratic nominee for President because he's black. Are you nuts??? It should be noted that the Gov is a friend of Hillary. What do you think the reaction would be to this if he were a friend of Romney? One other note, and I'm very curious, if I don't vote for Obama, does that make me a racist? Personally, I could care less if he's purple, but apparently no one thinks it's okay to disagree with someone ideologically. What nerve I have!! Just you watch and see, or better yet, I'll write about it in a few months, the DNC is in Denver this year!!

I was thinking about leaving the Denver Metro area while this convention happens, but then I thought about it, how easy do you think these girls are going to be?? Maybe if I tell them a hummer will change my stance on global warming they'll give me a D-Mouth Hug? It's worth a try, right?

Obama's got the juice. He does. People can deny if they'd like, but it seems pretty obvious to me. He's got great speech writers, too. And his campaign is pretty easy to run. It would be the same thing I'd run-"Anyone else want to see another Bush or Clinton in office? Ok, vote for me, then". Pretty darned simple. Of course, no one seems to challenge him on his voting record, and how unbelievably liberal he is, or the Marxist professors he gravitated towards in college. Of course, there's also that tiny thing that he has brought nothing to his one term in the Senate. Details, details, I know. Now I'm a racist for bringing this up!

McCain's supporters need to chill. They are becoming increasingly rowdy over Huckabee, damn near singing Queen's "We are the Champions". Alrighty now, it's a nomination, not a free smoothie at Jamba Juice. Calm down already.

Good old Beserk-eley is back in the news, after they realized what a mistake they made after the city council voted to try to oust the Marine Recruiting site from its fair city. Funny how the threat of losing some $3 Million in federal funding will do that. Now they state they are against the war and for the troops. I'm still not sure how you can do one and not the other, but I've got a newsflash for those fine whackjobs in CA...DUH!!!! No one wants this war to go on anymore, and most of us want our boys back home. But a question comes to mind.....at what cost? Unless you want Chicago to look like Lebanon, maybe we tell our boys in Congress to let our boys in the big desert finish the damn job and get the hell out of there. Waddya think now?

My so-called interview. So, I was supposed to have an interview on Tuesday. It was for a job and a company that I was very excited about. I thought it would be a great fit for me. I did quite a bit of research on the position and company, by far and away the most prepped I've been for an interview probably ever. What happened? They filled the position before I even got to interview!!! Now, I understand that's how business gets done. But couldn't they have emailed me and told me that? Nope, not me. I'm not that fortunate. Instead, the call doesn't start on time, they are 10 minutes late, and in the 1st two minutes I'm told that they went back and forth with this person before she accepted. I asked, for clarification purposes, if I was hearing it right that this position had been filled. The answer was Yes.
"Oh".
Do you want to still talk about the company?
"Sure, I guess"-I was stunned! Who does this? Did I miss the big meeting on how business gets done all of a sudden? I spent the next 5 minutes talking about my resume, never getting to expand upon anything and how I might help the company in the role I was supposed to be interviewing for. All in all, a 7 minute phone call for nothing but self-doubt, aggravation, and overall delusion.
There's only one problem with this, it did nothing but tick me off. And if anyone has known me long enough, I can do some pretty amazing things when I'm pissed. All this did was fire me up, get me back on the job-hunt, and maybe, even hopefully, find this company's major competitors to take a job with them to kick ass on this company that didn't even have the common courtesy to tell me things up front.

Why you need good friends and a decent network. It's simple. Without them, I would have given up this job search eons ago. I'd be stocking shelves during the night at Wal-Mart while banging a 19 yr. female cashier with 2 kids and a meth habit. Just a wild guess, that's all. So, big ups to my friends, seriously.

Memphis hoops. Okay, now off the serious stuff for a bit. I caught a bit of the Houston @ Memphis college hoops game last night, and I have 2 thoughts. First, CSTV sucks. These guys don't even have the production quality of The Blair Witch Project. I thought my Mom was shooting this footage with a handheld camcorder. Pretty bad. All that being said, the other thought is that Memphis is damn good. I haven't seen a team with this type of intesity on defense in a long time. The way they play D and run, they kind of remind me of UNLV back in the day. Who knows if they're that good, but that's who they remind me of.

Kentucky hoops, yuck. I feel bad. Really, I do. They lost by 40 at Vanderbilt. But before all of you UK fans go jumping off the peer, let Billy Gillespie do his job. I saw him a few years ago at UTEP, and he was damn impressive. Look at the job he did at Texas A&M. Just give him 3 more years. By then, his first real recruiting class will be juniors. He didn't have much of a chance to recruit for Kentucky this season. Give him time, I think you'll be impressed.

Indiana U. needs to fire Kelvin Sampson, like, today. He is accused of lying to the NCAA, and to Indiana. Look, I know that Bob Knight ran roughshod over that place, and you've put in place a so-called "zero tolerance" policy, but I want to see if it's true. Bob Knight did a lot of things to embarrass that school, but never in his history as a coach did he even remotely sniff any type of NCAA violation. Kelvin Sampson is accused of cheating while on probation for cheating. Then misleading IU in terms of what he has been doing. If any of these 5 major violations accusations comes to be known as true, he needs to be canned. I say can him now to save your University the embarrassment of severe punishment by the NCAA. Say the NCAA comes down hard on your program, do you think there's a chance Eric Gordon stays in school? It's one thing to know that DJ White is finally graduating, but no one else will be there.

C's winning without KG. They beat San Antonio with Big Baby leaning on Tim Duncan quite a bit, and he did a great job. I was impressed with the defense, the C's rotate well. I'm really liking this team, just hoping for health the rest of the way.

Jason Kidd to Dallas makes no sense. It looks like Devon George has blocked the deal for now, but I don't get how Kidd makes sense for the team, when Dallas would have to give up Stack and Devon Harris. Harris can at least D up on the other PG's in the west, I don't think we can say the same of Kidd. Yes, the guy is a walking triple-double, but at what cost to your team? The rumored deal also includes Dallas' 1st round picks this year and 2010. If you have to trade half your team and 2 future 1st round picks, who will be left to play with Kidd, Dirk and Josh Howard? Oh, and Kidd will be 35 in a month.

Neither does Shaq to Phoenix, but if you listen to Shawn Marion, you'd think they beat him in the locker room. He called it a bad marriage. Really? You averaged 18 pts. a game without them running a play for you. You got to play with one of the best PG's in the game, and with a coach who wants to do nothing but run, thereby using your talents. Someone find that ESPN the magazine article on him, I swear it will shed more light on The Matrix. It made me shake my head. He seemed like he'd rather be the man than to win. Weird.

Dwight Howard received the message, zero distortion. In case you missed this bit of news, Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy went to the press and told them that Dwight needs to listen to his coach and play instead of worrying about the dunk contest. Look, Dwight is a beast on the boards, and has outdunked everyone in the league by about 50. He's scary good. It just appears that in his last 3 games he wasn't playing D and rebounding that much. Well, all that changed last night, with a 23 pt, 24 rebound game vs. Denver. Uh, coach, how 'bout them apples?

Football is officially a year-round sport now...and I loves it. News you can use at the moment, it appears that Ocho Stinko will still be a Bengal next season. Gosh, I hope coach Marvin Lewis has his boxes packed, he's getting fired at the end of this upcoming season if he's tying his hopes to this clown. The fins have let Trent Green go, along with Marty Booker, and will be today letting Zach Thomas go. Bill Parcells is cleaning house in a big bad way. Look for him to trade Jason Taylor before the draft. Bill needs draft picks, not an anchor to his salary cap. The Raiders re-signed Justin Fargas for 3 years, $12 Million. Huggy Bear T-shirts all around, then!

All that being said, when the Boston Herald wants to take Tom Brady to task for his parenting skills, I think we've gone in a direction I'm not so sure about. The Herald is taking Brady to task for being with Gisele down in Costa Rica. Let's not put him on par with Steve Garvey, Calvin Murphy, Dr. J, Travis Henry and Shawn Kemp. Did anyone think to ask if maybe, just maybe his former girlfriend told him to beat it? Maybe I missed it, but when did Brady say he was a good Dad? And has anyone asked Brady how the whole pregnancy went down? Did he know she was knocked up before he dumped her?

I know people are still a little weary of talking about the Pats, but in the spirit of reloading for another run, I implore them to take a look at Al Wilson. He's been medically cleared, and he's only 31, so he should have 2-3 years left in the tank. I think he could be very good on the inside of that 3-4.

Pitchers and catchers have reported to Fort Myers today....woohooo. Time to remind everyone else what the best pitching staff in baseball looks like. Also, look for Manny in a few days, he's been hitting the gym looking for a guarantee on his contract getting picked up. Nothing like a contract year to watch someone put up awesome numbers.

Clemens looks dirty, and the party politics were beyond pathetic yesterday. I enjoyed Reps. Tiernay, Cummings and especially Henry Waxman at the end gaveling Clemens to zip it. But I am ashamed at how Republicans fell over themselves trying to kiss Clemens' ass while being despicable to McNamee. At least we can thank ol' Rocket for making up a new word, "misremember"...what is this, sniglet time? The fact that Clemens went around last week damn near campaigning and having some of these Representatives (of what?) asking for his autograph shows me how disgusting Capitol Hill really is. Here's someone else's take on yesterday's festivities:

Happy Thursday!

I am for the troops and against the war! I have never been for the war but I want our men to come home. Chicago will not turn into Lebanon if we did that!

Obama doesn't have a record to bitch about. He doesn't have any history! Hell yeah I would vote for Hillary! And if you don't...you are sexist...LOL. I can't vote for any of the republicans...if they are not pro-choice...I will not vote for them! The more religious the Republicans get...the more they push me away!

and if Chels is being pimped out...she got it good! She was the only one to go to Hawaii! Right on!
